Lets start from the bottom up, shall we?
SHOES! Heels, flats, pumps, points, boots! whatever you want baby girl! a trend that would be detrimental for us to miss right now however is the over the knee lace up boots and gladiator sandals. Praise the lord, shoes that have so much sass that all you need is these on and nothing else! if you do choose to go nude, let me know cause I’m extremely happy to advocate for you haha! no but really though this trend is so flattering on everyone! whether your legs are thicker or even if your feet are wider these heels will literally make any outfit look so on point and will take attention away from your feet! you won’t even need an outfit (see what i did there). The heels shown below are all from Missguided and are pretty inexpensive. I have purchased the black over the knee booties for myself and am so excited to style them! but what i love most about heels like this is that they are prominent in nude hues and black which compliment every and any outfit. Yes, it is important to have colour in your wardrobe but we all know a little nude goes a long way! especially if you’re like me and pair your outfits specifically around the shoes you have on. As these heels are a little higher, from what I’ve seen in the media they are generally paired with really short dresses but they would look amazing over a pair of ankle cropped skin tight jeans, the lower cut shoe which just hits the knee also works very well with mid length dresses and as it is Winter in Australia at the moment laser cut outs allow the sexiness of a sandal but the coverage of the leg which I think works well as so often do i see girls pairing the wrong shoes with dresses confusing me about what season they are dressing for
Moving on, anything lace up i love – as i think i have already mentioned, another majorly flattering design again comes to the laser cut out and lace but at a shorter length, shoes that hit above the ankle or mid calf are amazing with literally anything! with the higher cut shoes the styling is a bit more challenging however with the shorter cut shoe styling is made much more simple as the shoes do not overpower the outfit
Here I’ve styled my Windsor Smith Gillie heels with a coat, midi dress and tote and i feel as if the shoes really finished the outfit, lace up heels are such a feminine counterpart to an outfit and at this length they are very easy to style and suit almost everything
So, ladies, go out and grab yourselves a pair of lace up heels! i can promise you that an investment in a good quality pair of shoes will go a long way in any fashionistas closet. Getting a pair of shoes that tie together any outfit is essential especially if you’re like me and prefer to wear shades of nude and khaki. Accentuate those legs girls! pull those skirts up and tie your laces as high up your leg you can and STRUT!
